VIAGRA (Sildenafil Citrate), an oral therapy for erectile dysfunction.

Manufactured by Pfizer, VIAGRA is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence).

For most patients, the recommended dose is 50 mg taken, as needed, approximately 1 hour before sexual activity. However, VIAGRA may be taken anywhere from 4 hours to 0.5 hour before sexual activity. Based on effectiveness and toleration, the dose may be increased to a maximum recommended dose of 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day.

LEVITRA (vardenafil HCl), an oral therapy for erectile dysfunction.

Manufactured by Bayer and GlaxoSmithKline

LEVITRA is a medicine that may be used up to once a day to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).
LEVITRA is for use by prescription only. Men taking nitrate drugs, often used to control chest pain (also known as angina), should not take LEVITRA.
Men who use alpha-blockers, sometimes prescribed for high blood pressure or prostate problems, also should not take LEVITRA.
Such combinations could cause blood pressure to drop to an unsafe level.
The most commonly reported side effects are headache, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose.
Men who experience an erection for more than four hours should seek immediate medical attention.
You should not take LEVITRA if your doctor determines that sexual activity poses a health risk for you.
LEVITRA does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.

Dosage
The recommended dose is 10 mg taken as needed approximately 25 to 60 minutes before sexual activity.
Based on efficacy and tolerability the dose may be increased to 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg.
The maximum recommended dose is 20 mg. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day.
LEVITRA can be taken with or without food. The onset of activity may be delayed if taken with a high fat meal

Elderly men
Since vardenafil clearance is reduced in elderly patients a first dose of 5 mg should be used.
Based on efficacy and tolerability the dose may be increased to 10 mg and 20 mg.

Children and adolescents
LEVITRA is not indicated for individuals below 18 years of age.
Use in patients with impaired hepatic function A starting dose of 5 mg should be considered in patients with mild and moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh A-B).
Based on tolerability and efficacy, the dose may be increased to 10 mg and then 20 mg (see section 5.2).

The coadministration of vardenafil with nitrates or nitric oxide donors (such as amyl nitrite) in any form is contraindicated.

CIALIS (tadalafil), is an oral PDE5 inhibitor for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED)

Manufactured by Lilly ICOS LLC, CIALIS is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence).

What is Cialis?
Cialis is in a class of medications known as PDE-5 inhibitors, which are used to treat cases of male impotence. Cialis is a fairly new drug which has been tested and approved for the EU Market.

How does Cialis work?
Cialis acts in the same way as Viagra, by blocking an enzyme called phosphodiesterase-5, or PDE-5. This helps the smooth muscles in the penis relax and widen, which allows for more blood to enter. As a result, you gain erections faster and easier.

What's the difference between Viagra and Cialis?
Cialis comes in smaller doses and produces fewer side effects. Cialis also works much faster than Viagra. In clinical trials, the majority of men who took the drug were able to engage in sexual intercourse within 30 minutes or less. The studies also indicated that Cialis stays in the system for up to 24 hours. That's 20 hours difference than the traditional Viagra treatment.
Test results have also shown that Cialis has no adverse side effects on vision or the heart. It's believed that Cialis is more selective than Viagra at targeting PDE5 receptor sites. Besides controlling blood flow to the penis, PDE5 enzymes play in essential role in the action of cells in the brain, heart, kidney, and eyes.

How well does Cialis work?
Test results showed that out of 700 participants at least 88% of men experienced improvement with their erections.

What's the normal dose?
In clinical testing most men were administered one 10 or 20 mg tablets per day.

Are there any side effects?
The most common side effects reported in the study were headache, myalgia (muscle pain), dyspepsia (upset stomach following meals) and back pain. The severities of these side effects were minimized with lower doses.

Cialis has also been licensed in 2.5mg and 5mg dosage and is supplied in packs of 28 tablets to be taken one-per-day.

ACOMPLIA (Rimonabant)

Manufactured by Sanofi-Aventis

Generic Name: (rimonabant).

Strength: 20 mg once daily.

Pack Size: 28 tabs in blister packs.

Acomplia works by blocking endogenous cannabinoid binding to neuronal CB1 receptors.
Activation of these receptors by endoegenous cannabinoids, such as anadamide, increases appetite.

It is the only endocannabinoid receptor antagonist in clinical development and thus offers a unique therapeutic approach to appetite control and weight reduction.
The drug also has potential as a treatment for smoking cessation because the endocannabinoid system is involved in the body's response to tobacco dependence.

What ACOMPLIA contains;
The active substance is rimonabant. One film-coated tablet contains 20 mg rimonabant.
The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: maize starch, lactose monohydrate, povidone K 30 (E1201), croscarmellose sodium (E468), sodium laurilsulfate (E487), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), magnesium stearate.
Tablet coating: lactose monohydrate, hypromellose 15 mPa.s (E464), titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 3000.
Tablet polishing: carnauba wax (E903).

XENICAL (Orlistat)

Manufactured by F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd

Each capsule contains 120mg Orlistat

XENICAL is an oral prescription weight loss medication used to help obese people lose weight and keep this weight off. XENICAL works in your intestines, where it blocks some of the fat you eat from being absorbed. This undigested fat is then eliminated in your bowel movements.

One capsule of XENICAL is taken with each main meal.

XENICAL should be used together with a reduced-calorie diet (dietary advice is supplied, and information can be requested) and users are advised to take a multivitamin supplement containing fat-soluble vitamins once a day at least 2 hours before or after the administration of XENICAL, such as at bedtime.

Each month's supply is 84 capsules (3 capsules per day for 28 days) of 120mg Orlistat (manufactured by F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd).

TAMIFLU (oseltamivir phosphate)

Each tablet contains 75mg oseltamivir phosphate

Tamiflu belongs to a group of medicines called neuraminidase inhibitors. These medications attack the influenza virus and prevent it from spreading inside your body.

Tamiflu treats flu at its source by attacking the virus that causes the flu, rather than simply masking symptoms. Each Tamiflu capsule (grey/light yellow) contains 75 mg of active drug and should be taken by mouth.

Tamiflu is generally well tolerated. Tamiflu may cause mild-to-moderate nausea or vomiting in one out of 10 people. Taking Tamiflu with food may reduce the potential for these side effects. Other less common side effects may include bronchitis, sleeplessness and vertigo.

Adult Dose
Treatment, 75mg twice daily for five days starting within two days of symptom onset.
Post-exposure prevention, 75mg once daily for at least seven days starting within two days of exposure to an infected individual.

TOSTRAN/TOSTREX (2% Testosterone gel for topical application.)

The recommended starting dose for adults over 18 years is 3g gel (60mg testosterone) applied once daily in the morning.

Tostran is a prescription gel aimed at men over 40 who suffer from €œhypogonadism€� €“ a condition whose main symptoms include baldness, weight gain, lethargy, irritability, reduced libido and erectile dysfunction.

ProStrakan, which is marketing the drug, claims that up to 12 per cent of men over 40 and 91 per cent of men over 80 suffer from the condition, yet few ever seek medical attention.

Apply 3g gel once daily in the morning. Adjust dose according to response; max. 4g gel daily.
Apply as a thin layer to clean dry area of abdomen or to both inner thighs.

Rotate between abdomen and inner thighs daily. Avoid genitals€.

The possible side effects are: Prostatic abnormalities, prostate cancer, headache, depression, nausea, GI bleeding, cholestatic jaundice, libido changes, gynaecomastia, increased bone growth, premature closure of epiphyses, hypercalcaemia, oedema, hypertension, weight gain, hirsutism, alopecia, priapism, suppression of spermatogenesis, virilism in women. you suffer from, or are receiving treatment for, high blood pressure,
your hair loss is due to treatment with drugs (i.e. chemotherapy or similar),
you have an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients,
you have a scalp/skin condition (e.g. psoriasis or sunburn),
you are using other medical treatments on your scalp.

1 mL is applied with dropper or sprayer twice per day directly onto the scalp in the hair loss area.

Regaine may regrow hair only on the vertex (top) of the scalp. It is not intended to treat frontal baldness or receding hairline.
Although hereditary hair loss covers the majority of cases, there are some occasions where hair loss is not due to genetics.
In these cases, Regaine is not effective at establishing regrowth.
If you stop using this product, you will gradually lose the hair you have gained.
